Alisa Ahmed

In 2017, I graduated from King’s College, London with a Master’s in English Literature, that focused on the representation of violence against women in contemporary South Asian Women’s writing. Previously, I studied English Language and Literature for my undergraduate degree, also at King’s.

I started at Greene & Heaton as an intern and am now an Agency Assistant. I assist Judith Murray, Claudia Young, and Kate Rizzo. I handle general enquiries for these agents’ authors, as well as permission requests and foreign contract administration.

I enjoy reading literary fiction by writers of colour who explore issues of race, gender and belonging, and I have recently delved into non-fiction that examines similar issues. I also love crime and psychological thrillers, and I particularly like novels that interrogate the human condition, whilst keeping you gripped by employing clever and twisted plotlines.

Imogen Morrell and I created and are coordinating The Greene Door Project, an open submissions initiative for writers from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds.
