Alisa Ahmed

Alisa started at Greene & Heaton as an intern and now works as an Agency Assistant. She works alongside all our agents, and mostly assists Judith Murray, Kate Rizzo, and Claudia Young. Alisa handles general enquiries, rights enquiries, permission requests, and contract negotiation and administration.

Alisa mostly enjoys reading literary fiction and is drawn to novels that explore day-to-day human experiences, whilst interrogating larger issues such as displacement, identity and belonging. She is particularly interested in reading works by writers of colour, or writers who come from countries and backgrounds that are new to her, and she enjoys non-fiction that explores issues surrounding gender, race and sexuality. In general, Alisa loves reading gripping fiction, especially works with a unique perspective and interesting voice.

Alongside Imogen Morrell, Alisa co-created and coordinates The Greene Door Project, an open submissions initiative for writers from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, and the Greene Door Pitch Event, an opportunity for aspiring writers from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic writers to meet a literary agent.
