Beatrice Hitchman was born in London in 1980. She read English and French and at Edinburgh University before working as a film editor. Her first novel, PETITE MORT, was published in 2013 by Serpent’s Tail. It was nominated for the Desmond Elliott Prize, the Author’s Club Best First Novel Award, the Polari Prize and the HWA Debut Novel Prize, and adapted as a Woman’s Hour drama for Radio 4, starring Honor Blackman.
