Benjamin Wood currently teaches creative writing at Birkbeck College, University of London, where he is also a convenor and designer of undergraduate courses. He has himself experienced such courses first hand: in 2004, he attended the MFA Creative Writing programme at the University of British Columbia, Canada, on a Commonwealth Scholarship. His short fiction has been published in several journals and his first novel, THE BELLWETHER REVIVALS, which was shortlisted for the inaugural Sony Reader Award for best unpublished novel at the 2010 Dylan Thomas Prize, will be published in 2012 by Simon & Schuster in the UK, Viking in the US, and McClelland & Stewart in Canada. He has also worked as fiction editor for the Canadian Literary Journal, PRISM international.
