Emma Garland is a writer and editor based in London. She has worked at VICE UK and Huck Magazine, with a focus on bringing countercultural storytelling about music, pop culture and sexual politics to a mass audience. Her work has been widely published in the Guardian, Esquire, Rolling Stone, CREEM, Vulture and Dazed among other publications.
Born in South Wales, Emma holds a first class MA in International Journalism from Cardiff University, where her thesis explored political humour as a nonviolent resistance tactic used by youth movements in Syria, Egypt, Serbia and Russia.
