Jenny Offill’s first novel, LAST THINGS (Bloomsbury (UK) and FSG (US), 1999) was a New York Times Notable book of the year, a Village Voice Best Book of the year, and a finalist for The L.A. Times Art Seidenbaum award. Her short fiction has appeared in Electric Literature, Story and Significant Objects, the Paris Review and Tin House. She is the co-editor (along with Elissa Schappell) of two anthologies of essays, Money Changes Everything and The Friend Who Got Away (Random House 2007, 2005) and has written several children’s books as well, including SPARKY.

Jenny was the recipient of an NYFA fellowship in 2006 and of the Ellen Levine Award for a novel-in-progress in 2012 for DEPT. OF SPECULATION. Published in paperback by Granta in the UK in March, DEPT. OF SPECULATION has been shortlisted for the 2015 Folio Prize for Fiction and for the 2015 International Dublin Literary Award. In 2016, Jenny was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for fiction. She is currently a visiting writer in the MFA program at Syracuse University.

Jenny’s primary agent is Sally Wofford-Girand at the Union Literary Agency in New York.
