Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Jordan Bourke has been based in London for almost 10 years where he lives with his wife Jina. Having trained at the Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, Jordan was immediately picked up by the Michelin star chef Skye Gyngell to work with her and her team at Petersham Nurseries Restaurant in London. During his years there, Jordan was also working with his sister Jessica (a nutritional therapist based in Dublin), cooking privately for some of her London based clients, specializing in cooking for health, weight loss and nutrition.
Jordan’s first cookbook THE GUILT-FREE GOURMET, which he wrote with Jessica, was a result of countless requests from clients and friends for the recipes to the indulgent, yet ‘guilt-free’, food they had tasted. It is available worldwide through Amazon and in all good book stores.

He was also awarded an honorary ambassadorship by the Korean Foreign Ministry to promotoe Korean food in the UK. Having spent a lot of time in Korea learning from the pro’s Jordan is now planning a Korean themed pop up restaurant in London.
Jordan divides his time between cooking for private clients, food styling (Waitrose, Thomasina Miers, Grazia Mag etc) , recipe development/testing (Ottolenghi) and also consulting for restaurants, hotels and food companies. Jordan is a member of The Guild of Food Writers and was a judge for their 2013 awards as well as for the Guild of Fine Food ‘Great Taste Awards’.
