River Cottage HQ is based at Park Farm, a 17th Century farmhouse and converted barns in the Axe Valley on the Dorset/Devon border. HQ operates as a centre to promote and celebrate locally-produced, seasonally-harvested food. The HQ team runs an extensive range of events and courses that expound their food philosophy, each event hosted by a River Cottage expert. The 60-odd acres of land are run as a working farm and, together with the produce of the flourishing kitchen garden and the fish caught on regular “Catch and Cook” excursions, the livestock feed into the River Cottage kitchen and, naturally, into all of the on-site food courses.
