Following the success of the Greene Door Project, Greene & Heaton is delighted to announce the Greene Door Pitch Event. The Greene Door Pitch Event is an opportunity for aspiring writers to meet a literary agent, ask questions about seeking representation and the publishing process, and to discuss their work in a ten-minute one-to-one session. The event is open to unpublished writers from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Backgrounds and will be held at The Bush Theatre in Shepherd’s Bush, London on 16th November 2019. All attendees are encouraged to stay until the end of the event for mingling and more chat over tea and coffee.
If you attended the previous event, your name will be added to a waiting list to give priority to those who haven’t. If spaces become available, we will be in touch closer to the time.
To secure your space at the pitch event, please email Alisa Ahmed and Imogen Morrell at firstname.lastname@example.org. The event is first-come first-served and spaces are limited, so please email us as soon as possible to secure your place!
Greene & Heaton is happy to offer a financial contribution to a limited number of writers who are on a low income and are receiving benefits such as Job Seeker’s Allowance, Working Tax Credits, Universal Credit, Disability Living Allowance, Carer’s Allowance and Employment and Support Allowance or those who are earning less than the London Living Wage of £9.45 per hour, and who would not be able to attend the event without this contribution. To apply for support, please include in your email a short statement describing how you are eligible. Please note that this will be granted on a first-come first-served basis.
Please contact Alisa and Imogen by email at email@example.com if you have any questions.
