Emily Bootle is a journalist and cultural critic. She studied music at Oxford University before moving to London to work in the commercial music industry. In 2019 she joined the New Statesman, where she is currently a sub-editor and writes for the culture section. Emily's first book, THIS IS NOT WHO I AM: OUR AUTHENTICITY OBSESSION, is due to be published in November 2022 with Ortac Press.
