Georgia Poplett is a writer, editor and academic who is currently completing her PhD in Creative Writing and Medical Humanities at Durham University, specialising in representations of postpartum psychosis and Gothic literature. She studied for an MFA at Birkbeck while working as a Waterstones bookseller before moving into publishing at Profile Books. Having grown up in Kent, she now lives in London with her family.
Her first novel, SHE HERSELF IS A HAUNTED HOUSE, is a gothic-inflected exploration of intergenerational trauma, matrilineal inheritance, queer social history and the stigma around postpartum psychosis and women’s bodies.
