Kerry Ann Burnett grew up in Berkshire, and lived and worked in several different countries, before finally settling in the West Country. She has a BA(Hons) in English Language and Literature from the University of Reading, a Post Grad in Education from Brighton University and spent the last 12 years as a Primary School Teacher in Worthing, Sussex.
She is working on her first novel, THE COVENT GARDEN MERMAIDS, a stains-and-all immersion into the subversive underworld of 18th century London. 13-year-old Tess is the only survivor of ‘The Mermaid Maker’, a psychotic serial killer terrorising the local brothels. She is determined to find out where she came from, what happened to her, and to help capture the Mermaid Maker. He, it seems, is determined to finish the job he started on her.
