Lucy Clarke has a first class degree in English Literature, and is a passionate traveller and diarist. Married to a professional windsurfer, Lucy and her husband spend their winters travelling and their summers at their home on the south coast of England.

THE SEA SISTERS (HarperCollins UK) was Lucy Clarke's début novel. It was a Richard and Judy Summer 2013 Book Club choice and was sold to over a dozen territories. Her second book, A SINGLE BREATH - set on a ruggedly beautiful island off the coast of Tasmania - was published in 2014, and her third novel, THE BLUE, was published in 2015 (both HarperCollins UK). Rights to THE BLUE were sold to US/ Simon & Schuster/ Touchstone, Canada/ Simon & Schuster; Czech Republic/ Grada; Germany/ Piper; Norway/ Apropos Forlag; France/City Editions; Estonia/ Eesti Raamat; Holland/ Ambo/Anthos; Russia/AST Publishers. Her fourth novel, LAST SEEN, was published in May 2017, also by HarperCollins UK. ONE OF THE GIRLS, was published in May 2022.



Lucy's latest novel, THE HIKE, was published by HarperCollins UK in April 2023.
