CWA Dagger Shortlists 2019 Announced

CWA Dagger Shortlists 2019 Announced
Congratulations to all our authors who have been shortlisted for a Crime Writers’ Association Dagger. The awards honour ‘the very best in crime writing’ and have been ‘synonymous with quality crime writing for over half a century’. DESTROYING ANGEL by SG MacLean, TOMBLAND by CJ Sansom and BLOOD & SUGAR by Laura Shepherd-Robinson make up half of this year’s CWA Sapere Books Historical Dagger. CJ Sansom has also been shortlisted for the CWA Dagger in the Library, a prize for a crime writer’s overall work that has ‘long been popular with borrowers from libraries.’ A STATION ON THE PATH TO SOMEWHERE BETTER by Benjamin Wood has been shortlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger, which goes to the best crime fiction novel. Laura Shepherd-Robinson has also been shortlisted for the CWA John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger, which is awarded to the best first-time author. Shepherd-Robinson’s BLOOD & SUGAR has simultaneously made the shortlist for the 2019 Amazon Publishing Readers’ Awards Best Debut. In collaboration with Capital Crime, these awards are a celebration of the crime and thriller genre.
