Anna Parker

Anna is a historian and writer. She is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the University of Liverpool, where she researches central Europe, the home, material culture, dreams and crime. Anna has a PhD in History from Cambridge and previously held postdoctoral fellowships at the Society for Renaissance Studies and the Institute for Historical Research.

She has written for the Times Literary Supplement, Granta and Guardian, among others.

Anna is the winner of the American Psychoanalytic Association’s Excellence in Journalism Award (2026), the British Czech and Slovak Writing Prize (2020) and was a London Library Emerging Writer (2020-1).
