Margaux Vialleron

Margaux Vialleron is a French-born, Glasgow-based interdisciplinary writer and cook, whose practice explores the links between inner-spaces and wild, outer-spaces. Margaux's work challenges preconceptions about language and forms to explore how writing is intertwined with the body. She is the author of two novels: Breaststrokes (S&S, May 2024), about desires and consent, and The Yellow Kitchen (S&S, July 2022), on belonging, identity and friendship. Her short stories have been shortlisted for the Harper’s Bazaar and Mslexia competitions. Margaux also writes The Onion Papers, a newsletter about storytelling in the kitchen and an invitation to find connections between the various aspects of life, from literature to cooking, philosophy and seasonal patterns, against expectations and the ingrained boundaries between domestic and social lives.
