Margaux Vialleron is a French-born, Glasgow-based interdisciplinary writer. Margaux is the author of the novels Breaststrokes and The Yellow Kitchen, and their short stories and essays have appeared in Ache Magazine, Compound Butter, Extra Teeth, Feminist Food Journal, Harper’s Bazaar, Mslexia, Wrong Directions and others. In 2026, they were awarded the Jessie Kesson fellowship at Moniack Mhor for their novel in progress.
Margaux also writes The Onions Papers: storytelling in the kitchen, a newsletter that explores connections between various aspects of life, from literature to cooking, language, philosophy and seasonal patterns.
