Rob is behind the popular YouTube channel RobWords, which celebrates the wonderful weirdness of the English language. His videos about etymology, alphabets and the history of English have been watched by millions, and his newsletter and podcast have a dedicated audience of word nerd subscribers. Rob's love for language was established during a career as a newsreader for BBC radio and presenter on Germany's international broadcaster, Deutsche Welle. Living in Berlin and marrying into a French family have also helped him appreciate just how special English really is.
