Vittoria Fallanca studied Philosophy as an undergraduate and later took a postgraduate degree in French literature and wrote a doctoral thesis (turned book) on Michel de Montaigne. Her postgraduate and postdoctoral work lies at the intersection of literature, philosophy and visual art. From April 2024, she is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the Centre for the Study of the Renaissance at the University of Warwick. A specialist of the the early modern period, her thoughts are often elsewhere. She is currently working on a book on ‘anti-love’ in its various guises.
