Sadhbh O'Sullivan

Sadhbh O’Sullivan is an award-winning journalist, writer and editor. Her work spans across health and lifestyle, with a particular focus on deeply reported, personal features. She began her career launching and co-editing the award-winning independent feminist print magazine Ladybeard which ran from 2013-2018, before joining Refinery29 where she worked for nearly seven years and led several editorial projects: 100% That Butch in 2019, Modern Queer Family in 2020, and Taking Care in 2022. She currently writes for The i Paper's features desk, focusing primarily on consumer health.

Her work has consistently interrogated subjects deemed unsightly or gross: from the controversial bumhole cover of Ladybeard’s final Beauty issue; to personal essays on crotch sweat and reports on trauma and hygiene; to long form reported features on Denmark dominating the sperm industry.

She is currently working on her first non-fiction book Obsessive Compulsive Disgusting, which explores how OCD and intrusive thoughts radically changed her relationship with disgust, and the role that emotion plays in our every day.
