Sean O’Connor is a producer, writer and director working in theatre, television, radio and film. He was Executive Producer of Eastenders for the BBC after working as Editor for The Archers and was responsible for the much praised story about coercive control featuring Helen Archer and Rob Titchener. He has worked as a producer on many television shows including Hollyoaks, Family Affairs and Minder as well as Terence Davies’ film version of The Deep Blue Sea starring Rachel Weisz and Tom Hiddleston.
Sean has written, adapted and directed theatre pieces including VERTIGO, MARNIE and JULIET & HER ROMEO which have played all over the UK. His book about 20th Century drama, STRAIGHT ACTING, was re-printed by Bloomsbury in 2016. HANDSOME BRUTE was published by Simon & Schuster in the UK in 2013 and is currently under option as a feature film. His book about the sensational Rattenbury murder of 1935, THE FATAL PASSION OF ALMA RATTENBURY, was published in July 2019 by Simon & Schuster.
