The Flower Appreciation Society are not your average florists.
Anna has a degree in illustration but after enrolling in a year-long floristry course she found herself working in a local pub for extra money. Ellie has a textile degree and found herself helping her florist mother on big flower jobs, she also got a job in a local pub to make ends meet. After many a night pouring pints together, they realised how much they had in common and The Flower Appreciation Society was born.
Their visual training informs the beautiful, natural and sometimes quirky arrangements which they create in their studio in Hackney. They have provided flowers for Anthropologie, Oasis, Toast, Shona Heath and Bompas + Parr to name a few. Their work has been featured in The Telegraph, The Independent, Vogue, Marie Claire, Stylist, Oh Comely and Company Magazine.
THE FLOWER APPRECIATION SOCIETY: AN A TO Z OF ALL THINGS FLORAL (Sphere) was published in 2015.
